I read too much and too widely to identify my “favorite books”, but here I will highlight a random selection anyway.
-
Essentialism - The Disciplined Pursuit of Less by Greg McKeown
This book is, in fact, on my “books to live by” shortlist. The irony of whittling it down to its essentials (one page of hand written notes) was delightful.
-
Everything by DHH (David Heinemeier Hansson)
-
DHH is the founder and CTO of Basecamp and the creator of Ruby on Rails. As you may surmise, I love basically everything he writes. I even like his tweets.
-
How Google Works by Eric Schmidt & Jonathan Rosenberg
It may or may not reflect their reality anymore, but I took 50 pages of notes from this book once upon a time.
-
Book Yourself Solid by Michael Port
Possibly the best book on sales/marketing I’ve ever read.
-
Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert Heinlein
